The procedure following an election is that there be a full review of the committee structure. Appointments to City committees will be made following that review.

All members of White Rock City Council. 


The Finance and Audit Committee assists City Council in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities relating to finance and audit matters delegated to management by Council.

In particular, the Committee assists Council by reviewing:

  • External and internal audit activities
  • Insurance coverage of significant risks and uncertainties
  • Investment management activities
  • Key financial information that will be provided to the province or made public
  • Strategic financial plans, operating, utilities and capital budgets
  • The system of internal controls, risk management and financial information technology
