The City of White Rock has received applications for Subdivision and a Major Development Permit. The proposal involves the subdivision of the subject property from one lot into two lots, which if approved would each be developed with a single family dwelling. The Official Community Plan defines single family infill subdivisions which create lots having a width of less than 12.1 metres as “intensive residential development”. The subdivision, as proposed, is “intensive residential development” and will accordingly require a major development permit per OCP policy. The development permit will help to regulate the form and character of future single family dwellings in accordance with the Mature Neighbourhood Infill guidelines. The meeting is hosted by the applicant in an open house format where City staff will be in attendance to introduce and monitor the meeting, and to report back to Council.
