A Public Information Meeting will be hosted on
Wednesday May 29th, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 1475 Anderson Street (Education Room - Horst & Emmy Werner Centre for Active Living) to discuss a development proposal for the property at 15734 Thrift Avenue.
A Public Information Meeting (PIM) will be hosted by the APPLICANT at 1475 Anderson Street (Education Room - Horst & Emmy Werner Centre for Active Living) on Wednesday May 29th, 2024, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
The proposal involves rezoning the property from ‘RS-1 One Unit Residential Zone’ to ‘RT-1 Two Unit (Duplex) Residential Zone’ to allow for the construction of a duplex. A Minor Development Permit is also required to ensure the form and character of the duplex comply with the Mature Neighbourhood Development Permit Area Guidelines in the Official Community Plan (OCP). The OCP Designation of ‘Mature Neighbourhood’ allows residential uses in single-family homes (with or without secondary suites), duplexes and triplexes.
City staff will be in attendance to monitor the meeting and to report back to Council on the meeting.
