Artists Elizabeth Carefoot, Willa Downing, Lesley Garratt and Claire Moore have been considering the question: What is a lifespan? Responses address biological life spans with death as an undisputed eventuality, but also look at the life spans of inorganic materials and the implication for the planet. Some explorations have been set in deep time, others in momentary experiences. The work covers drawing, printing, painting, stitching and sculpture. Artists will be on site to discuss the ramifications of the work. “An Eventuality” runs at the LandMark Pop-Uptown Gallery, Central Plaza, 151409 North Bluff Road in White Rock, from October 3rd to the 26th. Hours are Thursday and Friday from 1 to 5pm and Saturdays 10am to 5pm. There will be an Opening Reception and music event on Thursday October 3rd at 7pm.
