Illegal Dumping

Each month, the City and many property owners are faced with the high cost and burden of properly disposing of items that have been illegally dumped on private or on City property.

If you observe someone illegally dumping on City or private property, call the Bylaw Department at 604-541-2146 with as much information as possible, such as a description and licence number of the vehicle or submit a Request for Service online.

Proper Disposal

There is no public drop-off location available for garbage, recycling or green waste in White Rock/South Surrey area. If you are unsure of how to dispose of unwanted items such as old furniture, electronic devices and other household items contact:

• Recycling Council of BC website or call 604-RECYCLE (604-732-9253)
• Surplus garbage can be taken to a Metro Vancouver Recycling and Waste Centres and Landfills for a fee. Contact the depots directly for disposal rates, hours and acceptable items.
• The Engineering and Municipal Operations Department 604-541-2181 during business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please note: calls made outside of normal business hours are forwarded to the After Hours Emergency Dispatch.
