The Exchange Zone is a designated, well-lit area outside the White Rock RCMP Detachment for citizens to safely:
- Complete purchase transactions/goods exchanges started through online platforms such as Craigslist, Kijiji, or Facebook.
- Transfer children between parents or guardians with a shared child custody agreement.
- Meet new people at a convenient location.
Please note that the area is not directly monitored, however people have access to assistance at the RCMP Detachment during regular business hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Outside business hours, please call 9-1-1 in case of emergency or 778-545-4800 for a non-emergency, if police presence is required.
