A Public Information Meeting will be hosted on
Wednesday May 8th, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 1469 George Street (White Rock Elks Hall) to discuss a development proposal for the property at 14990 North Bluff Road.
A Public Information Meeting (PIM) will be hosted by the APPLICANT at 1469 George Street (White Rock Elks Hall) on Wednesday May 8th, 2024, from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
The proposal involves rezoning the property from ‘RM-2 Medium Density Multi-Family Residential Zone’ to a site specific ‘Comprehensive Development (CD) Zone’ to allow construction of two 6-storey wood frame buildings. If approved, the development would consist of two (2) buildings containing a total of 247 residential units. Building A would contain 100 market rental units and Building B would contain 147 market strata units. A Major Development Permit is required for the form and character of the development. The OCP Designation for the subject property is “Town Centre Transition” which allows multi-unit residential uses with a maximum height of 6 storeys. The “Town Centre Transition” designation provides a transition to surrounding low to mid-rise residential areas.
City staff will be in attendance to monitor the meeting and to report back to Council on the meeting.
