[ARCHIVED] City of White Rock announces new Chief of White Rock Fire Rescue

The City of White Rock today announced that Edward Wolfe, Deputy Chief of White Rock Fire Rescue, will become the City’s new Fire Chief starting May 30.

Wolfe began with White Rock in 1991 as a career suppression firefighter, became Captain in 2009 and was promoted to Deputy Fire Chief in 2014. He is a member of the Fire Chiefs’ Association of British Columbia, the Greater Vancouver Fire Chiefs’ Association, the British Columbia Fire Training Officers’ Association and the Fire Prevention Officers’ Association of B.C.

Wolfe will replace retiring Fire Chief Phil Lemire who finishes with White Rock on May 29. Lemire, also the City’s emergency co-ordinator, extended his stay with the City until his replacement was named.
