Here is what’s open and closed at the City of White Rock for the holidays in December 2021 and January 2022.
White Rock City Hall
City Hall, 15322 Buena Vista Ave., will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 27 to Jan. 3, reopening on Jan. 4. Many city services are available on the city’s website. Visit whiterockcity.ca/online
Engineering and Municipal Operations
The Engineering and Municipal Operations Building, 877 Keil St., will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 27 to Jan. 3, reopening on Jan. 4. If you have a question, please email operations@whiterockcity.ca or call 604-541-2181.
Waste Collection Change
Some waste pickup dates change over the holidays. Collection on:
- Tuesday, Dec. 28 will be picked up on Wednesday, Dec. 29
- There are no other changes in the collection schedule during these weeks

Recreation Facilities
White Rock Recreation Facilities have varying operation hours during the holiday season.
The Kent Street Activity Centre (1475 Kent St.) will be open Dec. 29 – 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and closed Dec. 25 – 28 and Jan. 1-3, 2022.
The White Rock Community Centre (15154 Russell Ave.) will be closed Dec. 25 to Jan. 3, 2022. Regular hours resumes Jan. 4, 2022.
The Centre for Active Living (1475 Anderson St.) will be closed Dec. 25 to Jan. 3. Regular hours resumes Jan. 4, 2022.
The Centennial Park Leisure Centre office (14600 North Bluff Rd.) will be open Dec. 29 – 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and closed Dec. 25 – 28 and Jan. 1-3, 2022.

Winter Break Skates
Centennial Arena will be open for Winter Break Skates from Dec. 20 to 31 and will be closed Dec. 25 and 26. Visit whiterockcity.ca/skate for the Winter Break Skate schedule and pricing.
