Explore the newly rehabilitated trails in Ruth Johnson Park and Centennial Trails. Walk down the rebuilt boardwalk and staircase, and enjoy the replanted vegetation, trees and shrubs, which create an inviting green space. Discover Local Art at the Landmark Pop-Uptown Gallery
Come check out the new exhibit “Braided Lives” at the Landmark Pop-Uptown Art Gallery featuring artists Marilyn Dyer and Susan Gorris. “Braided Lives” features drawings, painting and sculptures examining the effects of change that humans have caused within our environment and the special connections that animals and humans have together. White Rock's public art helps us learn more about local history and reflects the City’s culture. The curated collection is perfect for snapping a photo to post on social media with #WhiteRockBC.
Visit the new exhibit at the White Rock Museum and Archives
The new display, “Upstream/Downriver: Walking the stɑl̓əw̓ Watershed” takes audiences on a journey of walking, listening, and learning. Artists walked with experts from a wide range of backgrounds–Indigenous knowledge holders, scientists, philosophers and poets–inviting their observations on climate impacts along the lower Fraser Valley watershed. Walk Along the White Rock Waterfront
Take a stroll along White Rock’s promenade – the 2 kilometre long promenade runs almost the entire length of the from East to West beach. Take in the views of our beautiful City by the Sea – and bring your dog too – on-leash dogs are allowed on the White Rock Promenade until March 31.
Visit the White Rock Library
The White Rock Library has an indoor Wonder Women scavenger hunt – find all the pictures of famous Canadian women and win a button. Take the kids indoors and play – try out Keva Planks or Magformers. Observe the eclectic work of life-long artist Sheryl Walker on the White Rock Library Art Wall, featuring plein air landscapes and abstract work done in a variety of media.
Online zoom events are also available on the events page at www.fvrl.bc.ca. The White Rock Library is located at 15342 Buena Vista Ave. Regular hours are Monday – Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m.
Visit Generations Playground
Located at Ruth Johnson Park, the Generations Playground is an all ages, all abilities playground featuring slides, zip lines, outdoor fitness equipment, music learning station, and more. This popular playground has activity for all ages and is open every day from dawn until dusk located at 14600 North Bluff Road.
Try a New Sport
Have you played pickleball? Pick up your pickleball racquet and start a game at the courts at Centennial Park (14600 North Bluff Rd). The courts are open from dawn until dusk, seven days a week.
