[ARCHIVED] Filming at the White Rock Waterfront starts Sept. 8

White Rock’s picturesque waterfront will be a film location for two upcoming productions starting on Thursday, Sept. 8. Film crews will be setting up and filming around the White Rock Pier and Promenade on September 8 and September 10 to 14, 2022. 

During filming, there will be a one-day pier closures to the public. Thank you for your patience and respecting the film crew.  

Pier closed Tues. Sept. 13 

The White Rock Pier will be closed for filming on Tuesday, September 13, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

Intermittent closures 
Expect alternating single lane traffic at 14300 block Marine Drive for a few hours on Monday, September 12, from 7a.m. to 3p.m. 

Flag at White Rock Pier 
The Canada flag at the White Rock Pier will be taken down on two occasions: 

  • Thursday Sept. 8 from 7a.m. to 3p.m.  
  • Monday, Sept. 12 at 3:30 p.m. until Wed. Sept. 14 at 7:30 a.m.   

Set Decorations 

  • On Thursday Sept. 8 from 7a.m. to 3p.m. a USA flag will be flown along with potted palm trees placed along the promenade to create a Los Angeles waterside atmosphere 
  • From Saturday Sept. 10 to Monday Sept. 12 filming crews will be decorating the pier to stage a cruise ship embarkment scene set in Italy in the 1940’s.
