The City of White Rock’s cooling stations will be open from August 14 to 17, 2023 due to the forecasted high temperatures.
The cooling station at White Rock Community Centre located at 15154 Russell Avenue will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. An air-conditioned space, chairs, and bottled water will be provided. Pets are permitted.
The misting station the corner of Russell Avenue and Johnston Road will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guests will be able to sit and cool off in an enclosed tent, and will be provided with bottled water, cold compresses, fans, sunscreen, first aid, and access to a water mister. Pets are permitted.
