[ARCHIVED] Ludic, Mr. O Canada, part of the Canada Day celebration in White Rock

Virtual Canada Day by the Bay 2020

The City of White Rock is hosting a Virtual Canada Day by the Bay celebration on July 1 between 7 and 9 p.m., featuring an O Canada sing-along, an online marketplace, and two hours of entertainment that include comedy, music, trivia and prizes.

Tune in just before 7 p.m. to the City’s Facebook page or YouTube channel for the event hosted by Michele Partridge of the Drama Class, opening with an O Canada sing-along led by local resident Mark Donnelly, well known as Mr. O Canada.

The City will livestream a concert from Blue Frog Studios in White Rock with a performance from the band Ludic, a local favourite for their innovative and playful sound. Comedian John Cullen will showcase his unique brand of comedy as seen on CBC’s The Debaters.

Thanks to sponsors that include the White Rock BIA, Heritage Canada and Open Road Toyota Peace Arch for making the 2020 Virtual Canada Day by the Bay possible.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the headlining act in the next week. Find event details, including band announcements and an all-day lineup of community events, at whiterockcity.ca/canadaday.
