The City of White Rock will revisit Council’s Strategic Priorities to ensure the future needs of the community are met during and after the COVID-19 global pandemic.

City Council voted July 27 to host workshops in September 2020 to make any needed changes to its key directions.

Council adopted an innovative approach that provides real-time progress on major priorities using a dashboard and quarterly updates on the City’s website. The strategic priorities snapshot taken using the tool, Cascade, shows a 50-per-cent completion of Council’s Strategic Priorities 2018-2022 in less than two years.

Quotes

Mayor Darryl Walker

“The strategic priorities work accomplished in White Rock is the result of successful collaboration with our community and clearly identified priorities. We have achieved more than half of what we set out to do, which is remarkable, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through the updates to our Strategic Priorities, we can address how to work together to help our community and our economy recover from the impacts of COVID-19, and emerge from this better and stronger, together.”
