[ARCHIVED] White Rock launches notification app during Emergency Preparedness Week

Alertable Emergency Notification App

During the week of May 2 to 8, National Emergency Preparedness Week, the City of White Rock is launching the use of a new app residents and visitors can use to get important notices in real time. The City will use “Alertable,” a mass notification system, to send emergency alerts that include fires, floods, severe weather and other hazards. 

For information on how to sign up, visit whiterockcity.ca/alertable

Residents and visitors can also get City information and updates at whiterockcity.ca and through the City’s social media channels at Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

About Alertable


Alertable is a mass notification system developed by PEASI, a software company based in Calgary. Alertable software is used by communities in Canada for emergencies and day-to-day public notices. PEASI is actively involved in developing industry standards and guidelines for public alerts and notifications in Canada and internationally. These are incorporated into the Alertable software.

The theme for National Emergency Preparedness Week in 2021 is “Be Ready for Anything.” Prepared BC encourages people to Know the hazards, Gather your supplies and Make your plan.
