[ARCHIVED] City Hall Closure - Canada Day

White Rock City Hall

White Rock City Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 1, 2021, for Canada Day. We will reopen on Friday, July 2.

City facilities will be closed on Thursday, July 1, 2021, for Canada Day and will reopen on Friday, July 2. The facilities include:

  • Engineering and Municipal Operations – 877 Kiel Street
  • Centennial Park Leisure Centre – 14600 North Bluff Road
  • Horst & Emmy Werner Centre of Active Living – 1475 Anderson Street
  • Kent Street Activity Centre – 1475 Kent Street
  • White Rock Community Centre – 15154 Russell Avenue

The City of White Rock remains open by appointment, with essential services continuing and many services offered online, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. Appointments are available at White Rock City Hall, 15322 Buena Vista Ave., for complex issues and when in-person service is required.

Virtual Canada Day by the Bay

The City of White Rock presents the second White Rock Virtual Canada Day by the Bay on July 1 with performances by country band The Heels, pop duo Fionn and comedy group Hilarapy.

The matinee starts at 1 p.m. and the headline show kicks off at 7 p.m. Visit whiterockcity.ca/canadaday.

Waste Collection Changes

Garbage, recycling and green waste collection will change for the week of June 28 to July 2 due to the Canada Day holiday.

Request for Service 

Report non-emergency problems to the City. For example, you can report things like illegal dumping, sidewalk issues, or problems within our parks. If this is a public works emergency, please call 604-541-2181. This includes concerns such as water main breaks, floods or critical service disruption. If you have a bylaw-related concern, please call 604-541-2146.
