Explore the Public Art Displays

White Rock is filled with public art displays, from sculptures to murals. View the public art map on your phone and enjoy a walking tour around the City in Uptown or by the Waterfront. White Rock's public art helps us learn more about local history and reflects the City’s culture.

Visit a Playground

Located at Ruth Johnson Park, the Generations Playground is an all ages, all abilities playground featuring slides, zip lines, outdoor fitness equipment, music learning station, and more. This popular playground has activity for all ages and is open every day from dawn until dusk located at 14600 North Bluff Road.

Visit White Rock’s newly revitalized Emerson Playground, located at 15707 Columbia Avenue, with playground equipment for our younger visitors ages 6 months to 6 years old.

Play a game of Tennis or Pickleball

Pick up your tennis or pickleball racquet and start a game at the courts at Centennial Park (14600 North Bluff Road). The courts are open from dawn until dusk, seven days a week, and available on a first come, first served basis.

Walk the White Rock Waterfront

White Rock’s promenade runs almost the entire length of the beach - walk the 2 kilometre (7,200 feet) long promenade from East to West beach and enjoy the views of our beautiful City by the Sea. Along your walk, you’ll see public art, Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Plaza, the White Rock, and the White Rock Pier. Stop and take a photo and share your photos with #MyCityByTheSea.
