Due to unsafe weather conditions, solid waste collection may be delayed today. If your collection is missed today due to snow, please leave your containers out and our crew will aim to collect at our earliest opportunity.
Help out City Crews by shoveling around your collection containers and place them out at the edge of the road or lane and clear snow from lids and atop your solid waste collection materials.
Snow Clearing on Roads and Sidewalks
City Crews are concentrated on clearing snow and prioritize bus routes, emergency routes and major roads ahead of residential streets and lanes. View the City’s Snow Control Map.
If your vehicle is not equipped for winter weather, please stay home.
Residents and businesses are required to clear snow and ice from sidewalks surrounding their property by 10 a.m. following a snowfall as per City Bylaw No. 1529 (PDF). Thank you for doing your part to be a good neighbour and for helping to keep our community safe.
