[ARCHIVED] Call for Artists: Submit your designs for the City Street Banners or Johnston Road cross walk design

The City of White Rock invites local artists to review two exciting art submission opportunities for the community, which are the Street Banner program and the Johnston Road cross walk design.

The Street Banner program provides an opportunity for community artists to submit creative and visually appealing designs that reflect history, culture and create a sense of place. Street banners are displayed throughout the City, specifically West Beach, East Beach, Uptown and Five Corners. Submission deadline is Friday, April 26, 2024. The Johnston Road cross walk design is located at a highly visible and walkable location is at the heart of White Rock’s Uptown mixed residential and commercial district, and is part of the Johnston Road Phase 2 project, located between Russell Avenue and Thrift Avenue. The City is seeking proposals from interested BC artists and/or artist teams for a two-dimensional cross walk design that will add vibrancy to the area. Submission deadline is Friday May 24, 2024.
