The White Rock Sea Festival & Semiahmoo Days, presented by Waste Connections of Canada, takes place this August long weekend with fun for all ages at the waterfront! This free, three day festival has something for everyone – check out our festival guide below.
Outdoor Movie
Kicking off the White Rock Sea Festival & Semiahmoo Days on Friday, Aug. 2 is the outdoor movie, “Kung Fu Panda 4”. Bring the family, chairs, blankets, and snacks and enjoy a movie under the stars. Film starts at dusk and gates open at 7 p.m.
Experience Live Music
Enjoy live music over two days at two stages! There will something for everyone, with music spanning from the 1920’s through to the 1990’s all weekend at the the P’Quals Stage in Memorial Park. Don’t miss Totally Twain, a Shania Twain tribute on Saturday, and Fleetwood Magic, a Fleetwood Mac tribute on Sunday. The Spirit Stage in Semiahmoo Park features blues, rock, country and top 40. The finale BC/DC, a tribute to AC/DC will play on Sunday night.

Kid’s Zone at Semiahmoo Park
The Kid’s Zone at Semiahmoo Park will be full of fun activities for kids of all ages, including mini golf, interactive inflatables, face painting, and a ball pit!
Plus, visit the Indigenous Market and try the traditional salmon barbeque.
Environmental Zone
Learn about how you can help the environment! Visit our exhibitors, discover the Semiahmoo Peninsula with a guided walking tour on Saturday, try the arts and crafts with recycled materials, and don’t miss the giant interactive oceans map that lets you discover Canada’s ocean waters and watersheds in a brand new way.
Start your morning with a peaceful ocean front pilates class on Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. The Environmental Zone is located at East Beach by Finlay Street and Marine Drive.
Torchlight Parade
Making its return is the classic Torchlight Parade! This White Rock tradition features spectacular floats, marching bands, and community participants all lit up. The parade dazzles on Marine Drive starting at 8:30 p.m. on Oxford Street at west beach and extends to Parker Street at east beach. Make sure to wear your glow sticks and light-up wands!
Activities in Memorial Park
Memorial Park has fun for everyone! Check out the interactive inflatables, snap a selfie with the mystical mermaids, and visit vendor row along the Promenade. Also available are boat tours of the peninsula at the White Rock Pier.
Fireworks
End the Festival with the fireworks spectacular, presented by Thrifty Foods on Sunday evening at 10:15 p.m. Find a spot anywhere along the waterfront or hillside to watch.
