April 25, 2024 Update

New Pedestrian Activated Crosswalk being installed between North Bluff Rd and Russell Ave

Starting on April 30th, Johnston Road between North Bluff Rd and Russell Ave will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic for a duration of two days, extending until May 1, 2024. A new pedestrian- activated signal will be installed at the crosswalk to make it safer for both pedestrians and drivers.

To minimize inconvenience, we strongly encourage drivers to seek alternative routes and plan your travel accordingly during this period.

Coffee Shop Chat: Stay tuned for the next scheduled event.

Business will remain open during construction

Shop local! Businesses are open during construction. While we work to enhance our infrastructure, we encourage everyone to show support for our local businesses. By choosing to shop local, we can ensure the continued success of our community and keep the local economy strong.

Construction management strategies include:

  • Maintaining clear and well-marked sidewalk access to businesses, along with directional signage
  • Providing free parking in the vicinity to encourage patronage
  • Seeking additional input and ideas from business owners and residents
