City of White Rock Mayor Megan Knight and council will officially open the Pier Accessibility Mat in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, August 30 at 11 a.m.
Earlier this year, city council voted in favour to award the contract for installation of the Pier Accessibility Mat. The mat will stretch across the pier and create an even layer on the wood planks. Council fast-tracked this plan to ensure the mat would be available by the end of the summer.
