The City of White Rock will be supporting White Rock Legion Branch 8 in a Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, November 11, 2024 to honour the sacrifices made by Canadian war veterans.
The Remembrance Day Parade starts at 10:40 a.m. at Roper Avenue and continues down Johnston Road to Pacific Avenue, concluding at the Cenotaph in front of White Rock City Hall.
Immediately after, the Remembrance Day Ceremony and laying of wreaths will take place at 11 a.m. at the Cenotaph at White Rock City Hall.
“As we gather on Remembrance Day, we honor the bravery and sacrifices of our veterans and express deep gratitude for their service,” said White Rock Mayor Megan Knight. “This ceremony is an opportunity for our community to come together, reflect, and ensure that the legacy of our soldiers both past and present is never forgotten. We invite everyone in White Rock to join us in paying tribute to those who have given so much for our freedom.”
Date: Monday, November 11, 2024. Parade begins at 10:40 a.m., followed by ceremony at 11 a.m.
