On Nov. 11, we pause to remember the men and women who have served our country. On behalf of the City of White Rock, thank you to our veterans and to those currently serving. Your sacrifice makes it possible for Canadians to have the freedoms we enjoy. We honour your service and will never forget your extraordinary bravery.
Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony
Date: Nov. 11, 2019
Where: Cenotaph at City Hall.
Parade: Starts at 10:30 a.m. from Johnston Road at Roper Avenue.
Wreath Laying Ceremony with flyover: 11 a.m.
Refreshments and entertainment at the White Rock Legion afterward. Children and families can enjoy hot dogs after the ceremony at the Salvation Army on Best Street at Roper Avenue. More info here. Free event.
City Hall & Facilities Closure
White Rock City Hall (15322 Buena Vista Ave.) and Engineering and Municipal Operations (877 Keil St.) will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019 for Remembrance Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019.
