Roads in White Rock are getting an upgrade after White Rock City Council approved road paving contracts at the October 7, 2024 Regular Council Meeting. The contract was awarded to All Roads Construction for the amount of $965,676.60 (excluding GST).
The City of White Rock’s annual paving program addresses road repairs according to their condition, as determined by the City’s Pavement Assessment Key Plan.
Paving upgrades will take place at the following locations:
- Thrift Avenue between Best Street and Finlay Street.
- North Bluff Road between Anderson Street and Oxford Street.
- Kent Street between Marine Drive – Columbia Avenue.
- Keil Street between Columbia Avenue – Pacific Avenue.
- Pacific Avenue between Ewson Street and Stayte Road.
- Fir Street between Royal Avenue and Pacific Avenue.
- Martin Street between Victoria Avenue and Royal Avenue.
- Semiahmoo Avenue (15600 Blk to the end of Cul-de-Sac).
- Oxford Street major patching between McDonald Avenue and Thrift Avenue
Work is scheduled to begin in November, weather permitting, and will take a pause for winter, with work resuming in early Spring 2025.
The 2024 White Rock Paving Program aligns with Council’s commitment to maintaining infrastructure, enhancing quality of life and civic service delivery while mitigating and adapting to environmental impacts.
