Delegations
Council received two (2) delegations regarding:
- A proposal for a Mural on the north side of Victoria Avenue (between Foster and Martin); and,
- Information regarding the proposed biofuel project on Semiahmoo First Nations Land.
Special Events 2024
Council approved the following additional events for 2024:
- Yoga for All;
- Oxford Hill Climb;
- Night Market by the Pier;
- South Rock Comedy Festival;
- Anniversary Celebration of the Grey Whale Wall Family; and
- White Rock Farmers’ Market Christmas Edition
Five Corners Improvement Project – Public and Stakeholder Engagement
Council approved a public and stakeholder engagement plan for the Five Corners Improvement Project. Three (3) design options will be provided in the engagement sessions for public and stakeholder discussions. Once feedback is obtained through engagement, Council will be provided with a preferred design option for their consideration and approval. Work on this project is anticipated to begin in 2026.
New Food Cart Program
Council approved new Food Cart Program Guidelines which include evaluation criteria and program dates and hours of operation.
2024-2028 Draft Asset Improvement Financial Plan
Council amended then endorsed the draft 2024-2028 Asset Improvement Financial Plan figures and directed staff to proceed with preparing the consolidated 2024-2028 Financial Plan. Click here to review the full report.
Bylaws Receiving Final Reading
Two (2) bylaws received final reading and were approved by Council:
- Bylaw 2483 – Latecomer Interest Rate Amendment Bylaw updating the calculation of interest for latecomer charges; and
- Bylaw 2481 – Water Services Amendment Bylaw in relation to water service fees for 2024
