A Public Hearing was held for Bylaw 2467 (1454 Oxford Street) regarding an amendment to the White Rock Zoning Bylaw to allow for an increase in the number of permitted units in Building B (from 43 to 125 units) for the multi-family development approved by Council in 2017.

Representatives from the White Rock Elks attended and provided a presentation on the club’s facilities and spoke about rental opportunities for the future.
Firefighters Charity Beer and Wine Garden Application
Council approved a request for a beer and wine garden for the White Rock Firefighter Charity Association’s Pickleball Tournament at Centennial Park which will be held Friday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Advisory Committees: Public Art and Culture and Housing
Council endorsed the Terms of Reference for two (2) City Advisory Committees: The Public Art and Culture Advisory Committee and the Housing Advisory Committee. Further information on both committees will be provided online later this week on the City website.
Grants-In-Aid
Council reviewed applications for both the General Grants-in-Aid and the Culture Grants-in-Aid. A total of $23,250 from the budget of $25,000 was awarded to a number of community organizations.
Accessible Parking Spaces South of Marine Drive – Oxford Street to White Rock Museum & Archives
Council endorsed an interim and permanent plan to update accessible parking spaces for the two parking lots south of Marine Drive between Oxford Street and the White Rock Museum.
Intermunicipal Ride-Hailing Business Licencing Program
Council directed staff to give notice of two proposed bylaws regarding the Intermunicipal Ride-Hailing Licencing Program. All persons who consider they are affected by the proposed bylaws may make written submissions to Council for the June 12th Regular Council meeting. View the report and corresponding bylaws.
