City to install two new pedestrian rail crossings along West Beach
Start date: March 2015
Completion date: June 2015
The City of White Rock is adding two new at-grade pedestrian crossings on the railway between the Pier and Bayview Park.
Crossing No. 1 - Anderson Street
Crossing No. 2 - Oxford Street
The stroller friendly zig zag crossings will be within a 1 km range on West Beach. It will also widen the promenade at both crossings and replace the retaining wall. The City will also install mesh, similar to the East Beach mesh, to further promote safety and discourage trespassing at illegal points.
We recognize the inconvenience associated with these improvements and greatly appreciate your patience during this time.
