Thanks to many of you, the City of White Rock has completed Phase One, Two, and Three of the Official Community Plan (OCP) Review and is now focused on the Final Phase – Preparation of the Plan and Adoption. The OCP is an important policy document that will help shape the future of our City.
In our excitement to re-engage the public on this very important matter, we pre-scheduled dates for sharing the draft version of the OCP and bylaw in February. However, we need a little more time to incorporate feedback from the numerous public engagement sessions and surveys that have happened since this major initiative was launched in 2015. We also want to ensure the draft OCP is complete.
To learn more about the OCP Review Process, please go to www.whiterockcity.ca/imaginewhiterock. There you will also find a list of various public engagement sessions held over the last two years along with event materials and reports.
Next Steps
Once City Staff completes their comprehensive review, the draft OCP will be released to the public. City Staff look forward to connecting with you at various public engagement sessions to get your feedback on the draft OCP, which we anticipate happening in the spring.
Thank you in advance for your understanding as the City works towards finalizing the OCP.
