The City will be pruning city trees along Johnston Road between North Bluff Road and Pacific Avenue as of Thursday 2 July.
The purpose of this work is to remove branches that may be touching the buildings, maintain the proper and safe structure of the trees, and allow movement for vehicles and pedestrians around the trees.
Work will begin at 7:00 a.m. and finish at 9:30 a.m. daily on city trees north of Thrift Avenue. The City is starting the work earlier to avoid clashes later in the day when the sidewalks and streets are busier with pedestrian and vehicular traffic. All city tree work south of Thrift Avenue will be done after 9:30 a.m. where site access is less restricted.
If you have any questions about the upcoming tree work, please contact Aelicia Otto at the Engineering and Operations Department at 604-541-2116 or at aotto@whiterockcity.ca
