Snowbirds to Soar in our Skylines this Summer
The Snowbirds return to White Rock on Wednesday, August 6 to amaze visitors and residents alike with their famous flying demonstration. The Snowbirds’ performances showcase the precision and skill of serving members of the Canadian Forces.
The event is free for the public and pre-show activities start at 3:00 p.m. with face painting and balloon twisting. The show begins at 5:45 p.m. and will be broadcast live on speakers throughout East and West Beach. The event will benefit the CH.I.L.D. Foundation, which funds research for children who are stricken with Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and liver disorders.
“The Snowbirds are a Canadian icon,” said Mayor Wayne Baldwin. “Events in White Rock attract visitors from around the Lower Mainland and this will be no exception. I am extremely pleased to have them performing over our Bay. Their performances are awe-inspiring and they are truly among the best in the world at what they do. It is a privilege to have them here this summer.”
All proceeds from t-shirts and the option to ‘text to donate’ will benefit CH.I.L.D Foundation.
