The City of White Rock is excited to announce our headlining act for this year’s Canada Day by the Bay Celebration! This year’s headliners are The Boom Booms, presented by the White Rock Business Improvement Association.
A returning favourite after playing in the TD Concerts at the Pier series last summer, The Boom Booms are a Vancouver-based rock-pop band that has built a loyal fan base that stretches across generations. Their 2011 debut album Hot Rum! with strong live performances and incredible stage presence earned them the sextet spot in the 2011 Peak Performance Project, BC’s most prestigious contest for emerging musicians. They went on to win second place and picked up a cash prize of 75,000 dollars.
Since then, The Boom Booms have wrapped up a successful tour of Brazil which included sold out performances in both Rio de Janeiro and Manaus, playing for a thousand people in the heart of the Amazon.
The concert will be taking place at the main stage in the White Rock Museum and Archives parking lot on West Beach on Friday, July 1 at 9:15 p.m. Admission is free, so come out and enjoy some great live music with your friends and family!
