With a weather forecast predicting possible snow this week in the Lower Mainland, the City of White Rock is getting ready by applying brine, a salt mixture, to city roads.
Brine is used as an anti-icing treatment against ice and snow.
The City manages more than 80 kilometre of roadways, and aims to maintain key travel routes for transportation and emergency vehicle access. The City has a snow and ice clearing plan in the event of extreme weather.
