The City of White Rock and the Lower Mainland Green Team will be working together to plant 250 - 300 trees on Thursday, Oct. 17 in Ruth Johnson Park.
The Lower Mainland Green Team will be planting native trees to the area and removing invasive plants from the park. The Team works together to increase community engagement, raise environmental awareness, and increase the capacity to improve local parks and riparian areas.
Trees help to make White Rock a healthy, beautiful city. The tree planting event is in part of increasing the tree canopy coverage discussed in the “Tree Canopy Plan” corporate report from the Sept. 9 Regular Council Meeting.
