The City of White Rock will host the 3rd annual Bright Walk in White Rock light-up community event on Saturday, December 2, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., to officially begin its month-long winter light display at Memorial Park.
Meet and greet with Santa and a snow princess while you await the 20-foot Christmas tree lighting at 4:30 p.m. with Mayor Knight and Council. Enjoy the evening with light-up performances from jugglers and LED robots, and sing along with singing trio, The Agency, who sprinkles festive retro charm into every Christmas song. Warm up with a free hot chocolate or visit one of the food carts along the promenade. Pick-up a scavenger hunt map to find and unscramble hidden letters throughout the park and then present your completed map to claim your treasure.
Choose something special at the Christmas Market at the White Rock Museum and Archives where over 30 local vendors will be selling hand-crafted products including unique original art, woodwork, home décor, jewellery, candles, soap, candy, and more – perfect for finding fabulous gifts for everyone on your holiday list.
“The Bright Walk Lighting Ceremony is such a fun event. The moment we light the park is really special,” said White Rock Mayor, Megan Knight. “We also have a ton of entertainment and activities planned. Photos with Santa, live entertainers, plus lots of programming for kids. I hope the whole community will come out to join us.”
This event is presented by RE/MAX Colonial Pacific and Pier Law & Mediation. Sources Food Bank and Salvation Army will be onsite accepting donations and providing information about how to get involved in the community. The Bright Walk in White Rock light display will run nightly at the White Rock waterfront from December 2 to January 7, 2023.
