Shop local at the White Rock Farmers’ Market
Visit the White Rock Farmers’ Market this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and shop local. Vendors include a mix of makers, bakers and growers. The market is located by the whaling wall at Johnston Rd. and Russell Ave. Visit whiterockfarmersmarket.ca for more and see a full list of vendors.
Visit the latest exhibit at the White Rock Museum and Archives
Check out the exhibit 'Che’ Semiahmah-Sen, Che’ Shesh Whe Weleq-sen Si’am (I am Semiahmoo, I am Survivor of the Flood)' curated by the Semiahmoo First Nation at the White Rock Museum and Archives. This exhibit explores the ways that the Nation has flourished since the Great Flood at the end of the last Ice Age. The exhibit features two large dioramas showing the sophisticated technology of reef net fishing and a summer fishing village, several woven cedar pieces, video interviews and more. Visit the Museum at 15300 Marine Drive from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Take a splash at the Memorial Park spray pad
Cool off and take a splash at the spray pad located in Memorial Park. The spray pad is open daily from 9 a.m to 7 p.m. and has a rainbow of lights on in the evening. Activate the water by pressing the start button beside the splash pad. Visit Memorial Park at 15300 Marine Drive.
Explore the Public Art Displays
White Rock is filled with public art displays, from sculptures to murals. View the public art map on your phone and enjoy a walking tour around the City in Uptown or by the Waterfront. White Rock's public art helps us learn more about local history and reflects the City’s culture.
Visit a Playground
Located at Ruth Johnson Park, the Generations Playground is an all ages, all abilities playground featuring slides, zip lines, outdoor fitness equipment, music learning station, and more. This popular playground has activity for all ages and is open every day from dawn until dusk located at 14600 North Bluff Road.
Visit White Rock’s newly revitalized Emerson Playground, located at 15707 Columbia Avenue, with playground equipment for our younger visitors ages 6 months to 6 years old.
Play a game of Tennis or Pickleball
Pick up your tennis or pickleball racquet and start a game at the courts at Centennial Park (14600 North Bluff Road). The courts are open from dawn until dusk, seven days a week, and available on a first come, first served basis.
Walk the White Rock Waterfront
White Rock’s promenade runs almost the entire length of the beach - walk the 2 kilometre (7,200 feet) long promenade from East to West beach and enjoy the views of our beautiful City by the Sea. Along your walk, you’ll see public art, Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Plaza, the White Rock, and the White Rock Pier. Stop and take a photo and share your photos with #MyCityByTheSea.
