The City of White Rock is temporarily closing Waterfront parking lots starting March 23 to help with social distancing by reducing the number of people visiting the White Rock Pier and Promenade.
The West Beach Parkade on Vidal Street will also be temporarily closed. Parking on the north side of Marine Drive will be limited to 15 or 30 minutes maximum to allow visitors to order takeout food.
The City has been monitoring activity on the Waterfront during the COVID-19 pandemic and wants to ensure that people are keeping a safe social distance of two metres or more from each other. There are also recommendations nationally that people stay closer to home at this time.
All City buildings are closed to the public and the playgrounds are closed. City services are available online at whiterockcity.ca/online. For information about the City’s response to the global pandemic, visit whiterockcity.ca/COVID19.
