The City of White Rock reminds people to find alternative locations other than the waterfront walkway between April 1 and Sept. 30 to walk their dogs.
Dogs are not allowed on White Rock’s Promenade from April 1 to Sept. 30. Bylaw officers will monitor compliance with the bylaw during this time.
Dogs can go off-leash in the off-leash dog park located in Ruth Johnson Park. Here are some other reminders about dogs in White Rock:
- Dogs in White Rock must be leashed and licenced.
- Owners walking their dogs must pick up after them and dispose of the feces in garbage cans.
- Dogs should have up-to-date vaccines.
- Dogs are allowed in Memorial Park off Marine Drive year-round.
- Dogs are allowed on the Promenade from Oct.1 to March 31.
- Dogs are not allowed on the White Rock Pier.
