The City of White Rock has rescheduled an open house where the City will provide information to homeowners, renters and businesses about the collection of garbage, green waste and recycling in the city.
The open house scheduled for Jan. 15 was cancelled due to winter storm conditions. The new date is Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020. Drop in anytime between 3:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the White Rock Community Centre to learn more about solid waste collection in White Rock, how it compares with other Lower Mainland municipalities, and to share your thoughts.
The White Rock Community Centre is at 15154 Russell Ave. Free underground parking is available at the Russell Avenue entrance.
The City will also be seeking input through an online survey that will be available starting Feb. 20 at www.whiterockcity.ca/waste and in hard copy at the City’s recreation centres.

White Rock Mayor Darryl Walker
“Waste collection, recycling and composting are important components of an overall plan to effectively manage waste and to reduce our impact on the environment.
It was important to ensure public safety by cancelling the event on January 15. We have rescheduled the event to ensure that as many people as possible can be part of this information open house.”
