White Rock Pickleball and the City of White Rock officially opened newly renovated pickleball courts at Centennial Park this afternoon.
As a part of the project, the courts were cleaned, resurfaced and pickleball lines painted; mid-court dividers were installed to separate the pickleball courts into groups of two; drainage improvements were made; entry gates were adjusted; new landscaping was planted; picnic tables were added; and permanent pickleball posts and nets were installed on the west court.
“White Rock is home to many pickleball enthusiasts, including White Rock Pickleball, and the advocacy of these players has been a key driver in the remarkable growth in popularity of pickleball in our city,” said White Rock Mayor, Darryl Walker. “Pickleball is a very social sport that keeps people connected. These improvements to our pickleball facilities are certain to be very well utilized.”
The pickleball courts are located at Centennial Park, 14600 North Bluff Road in White Rock. The courts are open to the public and available on a first come, first served basis.
