With colder temperatures expected in Metro Vancouver starting Sunday, the City of White Rock is getting ready for more snow.
The City applied brine, used as an anti-icing treatment against ice and snow, this week, and cleared snow from roads today. More snow is expected on Sunday, Jan. 12. City staff will reapply brine on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 13 and 14 to get ready for expected snowfall on Wednesday, Jan. 15

If you know of someone who needs extreme-weather shelter, direct them to the Star of the Sea Hall, 15262 Pacific Ave., open from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
The City manages more than 80 kilometre of roadways, and aims to maintain key travel routes for transportation and emergency vehicle access. The City has a snow and ice clearing plan in the event of extreme weather.
