The White Rock Arts Festival Culture Crawl is a celebration of arts, culture, and heritage from across the Peninsula. Held across 22 sites, festival events are drop-in and free of charge (except for a few ticketed performances).
Don’t miss out on:
- The Public Art Bus Tour: Join acclaimed muralist and White Rock resident, Jim Davidson, as he leads you on a 1.5-hour journey across the city on a guided bus tour. Tours depart at 10am on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased on the Arts Festival website.
- A vintage fashion show: Historian Ivan Sayers will showcase the evolution of women’s clothing from the 1920s to 2020s and the relationship of clothing to fine and applied arts. Purchase tickets for the Saturday show.
- Kids Creative Corner: Fun for kids of all ages! Create, explore and be an artist at the White Rock Community Centre Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Local artist studios and galleries: Explore one of the many galleries and studios participating, including the Landmark Pop-Uptown Gallery, White Rock Gallery, Nomad Gallery, White Rock Museum & Archives, and more.
- Live theatre and behind the scenes tours: Take in the history of the White Rock Player’s Club theatre while you explore what lives behind the stage. From the green room, props collection and workshop, to the dressing room and impressive costumes closet, and all the ‘ghost’ stories too. Tours are free. Register at whiterockplayers.ca/tours
- Author talk: Sherry McMillan, author of What The Seal Saw, talks about her self-publishing journey and how to apply best practices on writing, publishing, and marketing.
- Artisan market: Talk to local artists, learn about their creative process and purchase a unique piece of local art to bring home. At the White Rock Community Centre Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Live music: Enjoy the music of Silverwood, flutist Kate Yoshitomi, and guitarist Michael Gillette, at Islands Café on Saturday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
“White Rock is home to so many artists, galleries, public art, and cultural stops to explore,” said Mayor Megan Knight, City of White Rock. “We have many great activities planned for the White Rock Arts Festival Culture Crawl, from theatre to live music to a vintage fashion show, which I hope the community will come out to experience.”

Opening Celebration
Join us for an opening celebration on Friday, October 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the White Rock Community Centre. Enjoy music, refreshments, poetry, and make art in our Kids Creative Corner.
