The City of White Rock presents an evening of festive, family fun on Friday, Dec. 10.
The Bright Walk in White Rock inaugural light up event runs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Park on Marine Drive. Join Mayor Darryl Walker and White Rock City Council for a tree lighting ceremony complete with family activities, bouncy elves, live entertainment, free hot chocolate, and a special visit from Santa Claus. Admission to the outdoor event is free.
Here’s a snapshot of the day’s events:
5 to 6:30 p.m.
Christmas activities, live music, food carts, free hot chocolate, Christmas craft fair, bouncy elves, photo stations, and live performances. Santa Claus will be walking around Memorial Park, so be sure to say “Merry Christmas”.
5:30 p.m.
Launch of Bright Walk in White Rock, featuring a 20-foot tree lighting ceremony in Memorial Park with Mayor Darryl Walker and members of City Council.
Christmas Craft Fair at the White Rock Museum and Archives
Celebrate the magic of the season as the White Rock Museum and Archives gallery transforms into a holiday market with more than 20 local artisans. The Museum and Archives are open six days a week, including Saturday and Sunday. Visit whiterockmuseum.ca
Bright Walk in White Rock
The light display at the White Rock Waterfront will run nightly from Dec. 10 to Feb. 15, 2022.
Beyond the lighting of the Christmas tree, there are many new light installations including an illuminated light tunnel and a snowman family photo opportunity. COVID-19 Safety
Bright Walk in White Rock will meet health and safety guidelines as set out by the Provincial Health Officer, Worksafe BC, Fraser Health and appropriate industry associations. As the majority of the event is outdoors, proof of vaccination is not required, and it is suggested to wear a face mask.
