The Daytime Warming Centre located in Centennial Park, will start operations on Monday, December 2, 2024, daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. until March 15, 2025. Lookout Housing and Health Society & Engaged Communities Canada Society will operate the site and offer services including light meals and snacks, bathroom facilities, addressing basic medical needs, and connections to service providers.
White Rock City Council approved the operation of the Daytime Warming Centre and extra security patrols outside of hours of operation for the cost of $439,970.41 at the October 21, 2024 Regular Council meeting.
